Global Independent Baptist Fellowship... By way of a great sense of humor and a convicting delivery..Bro. Mike Mislan, missionary to the Philippines.. gave numerous statistics regarding failures and disappointments in the ministry. Then, turning to Acts 16, he preached about Paul and Silas in prison, stating that many preachers suffer in prison cells created in their own minds. He noted that Paul and Silas were already spiritually out of prison before the earthquake physically freed them. It was a great truth!..I am glad for the preaching...

As a missionary to the Philippines, I have preached in large fellowship meetings to almost naked tribal members meeting under a tent. Here are a few of the things I have discovered that may be of help to you as you seek God's direction in your sermon preparation.
Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
