Welcome to The Gecko Empire:
Here at The Gecko Empire I strive to produce the best quality geckos possible. I have started a small scale breeding program in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. At the moment I am producing tremper albinos, raptors, and sunglows. Over the next few years more morphs will be added to the program. Meet the breeder:
From a young age I've always been fascinated with reptiles. Growing up a few blocks from a small wetland area I basically had reptiles in my backyard. From skinks to frogs and turtles i would be out their catching them all day long.
As i grew older I took a job at the local pet shop. This wasn't your normal fish and rodent shop. The owner of this store decided he wanted to put all his stock in reptiles and exotics. I really benefited a lot from working their. What i didn't learn from the many books he taught me, and i took all that knowledge and ran with it. Unfortunately after five years the store ran out of money and i had to move on.
The next six years I spent working at a tropical fish wholesaler. Spending most of my time taking care of fish was kinda boring to me, so I talked the boss into caring a few different kinds of reptiles.( leos, beardies, corn snakes etc.) once again unfortunately in 2001 I blew out my back and was sidelined for a few years. After i was back on my feet I found myself working one dead end job after another, so I decided to do something about it.
Now I spend my mornings and late nights taking care of my geckos while working full-time during the day. With a lot of blood, sweat, and tears i hope to be breeding full-time in a few years. Thanks for taking the time to read my bio.
